Tom is an Associate Creative Director currently living in Auckland, New Zealand working at Special Group.
During his 10 year career he’s enjoyed stints at leading agencies on both sides of the Tasman including BMF Sydney, DDB Sydney, and TBWA Auckland. Throughout his career he has helped a man living with Motor Neurone Disease sell his unusable belongings in a digital timeline reflective of his deterioration, reimagined New Zealand’s graduation gown to better reflect its education offering, and helped ALDI supermarket win over the hearts of Australians at Christmas by telling the legendary tale of a backyard cricket innings that lasted for decades. And just last year, to highlight the world’s attitude towards plastic, he put a giant poo on Bondi Beach – which was something his younger self would never thought he would ever be paid to do.
He has been a mentor for AWARD School and Media Design School, and a judge for AXIS.
His work has been awarded at every major advertising award show around the world – including a Gold Lion at Cannes, Best in Discipline at One Show, and a Graphite Pencil at D&AD. When he’s not advertising, he’s fishing – but he’s yet to win any awards for that.
